The Zeta Gamma Chapter has grown a great deal in the recent past as we currently have 36 members, with 30 active brothers. The spring semester has been a great one for Sigma Nu on the Kent campus, to start the year Zeta Gamma Chapter won the Delta Zeta Lip Sync Philanthropy for the 2nd year in row by performing dances to music by Seal and the movie High School Musical. The Zeta Gamma Chapter also we're able to repeat at champions in the annual spring Songfest event. Greek Week has just started here and we started strong the opening night as the Zeta Gamma Chapter won in the talent show for the 2nd time in 3 years.

Zeta Gamma also just concluded our first of its kind philanthropy for the semester that we called "No Pants Week". Zeta Gamma Chapters main goal was to raise money and awareness for Neurofibromatosis (NF for short) by spending each day of the week wearing a pants alternative outfit (tights, spandex, running shorts, etc.). Sororities competed against each other to donate money and earn points by completing certain tasks. Monday we allowed sororities to "Billboard a Butt Day", sororities were allowed to pin their letters on us for donations and we would be walking advertisements for the day. Tuesday all the men of Zeta Gamma wore togas and when someone would ask us about it we would explain how it was for a good cause. Wednesday was "Cleaning up Campus in Kilts Day" as men of Zeta Gamma wore home made kilts around campus. Thursday was our most successful day as we held a Luau Dance-A-Thon in Risman Plaza from 11a.m. until 5p.m. taking donations and dancing for the entire day, sororities were able to earn points by dancing for a certain amount of time also. Friday night we concluded the philanthropy with the "No Pants Dance" and we held friendly competitions between sororities, which included the "Best Pants Alternative Outfit", and the "Pants Off Dance Off". Zeta Gamma Chapter was able to raise over $1,800 in our first annual "No Pants Week" and we are looking forward to next year!

The active chapter is reigning Fraternity of the Year at Kent State by winning Lip Sync and Songfest talent shows, Philanthropy of the Year and Greek Week. Zeta Gamma would like to invite all of the alumni to visit our website and register as alumni and hopefully create stronger ties with our past and creating a stronger brotherhood. Lastly, the Zeta Gamma Chapter would like to thank the alumni for all of their support in the past year and their hard work to help us accomplish our goal of building a brand new house on campus that all members of Zeta Gamma Chapter can enjoy as well as give the alumni somewhere to return.

With brotherly affection and admiration,

Zeta Gamma Active Chapter
